The Open Book Philosophy is about transparency, collaboration, and sharing hard-earned experience to elevate the entire profession. As a Foot Care Nurse, educator, and clinic owner, I believe that by openly sharing what works—whether it’s clinical tools, business practices, educational resources, or treatment strategies—we can all grow stronger, faster, and more confidently.
This philosophy breaks down the barriers of competition and isolation in our field and instead encourages mentorship, openness, and mutual success. From the products I use to the way I structure care plans and operate my clinic, nothing is off the table.
My goal is to help you build your own thriving practice, not by guessing, but by learning from proven experience—mine and others. When we learn together, we rise together.

Josée Hunter, RPN, FCN
Founder, Educator, and Foot Care Advocate
Josée Hunter is a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and Foot and Lower Limb Care Nurse (FCN) with over two decades of experience in nursing and a deep commitment to advancing foot care through education, collaboration, and compassionate practice. She began her foot care journey in 2013, seeking greater autonomy and balance, and quickly discovered her passion for this specialty.
In 2017, Josée purchased her first clinic from her mentor, grew her practice into multiple locations, and began mentoring nurses through hands-on training and course development. Her approach blends clinical excellence with real-world insight, drawing from both success and setbacks—including her personal experience with long COVID, which reshaped her professional vision and led to the creation of an open, collaborative learning platform for nurses.
Josée is also a recognized distributor of Podoexpert and Onyfix, offering only the products she uses and trusts in her own clinic. Through her workshops, online education, and resource sharing, she continues to elevate the field of foot care nursing—empowering others with the tools, training, and guidance needed to thrive.
Josée believes in leading with authenticity, sharing her clinic as an open book, and helping nurses build confidence, knowledge, and sustainable practices from the ground up.
